Health and Human Services

In addition to our core funding priorities that focus on Working Poor Families and Seniors, the Y & H Soda Foundation is committed to meeting community needs that affect the health and well-being of Alameda and Contra Costa County residents.

Typically, these grants support the “safety net” institutions in our communities – programs, benefits and supports designed to ensure that individuals and families do not lack the basic necessities of life, including food, shelter, physical safety, and a minimum level of financial resources. Often, grants are made to service delivery organizations that focus on vulnerable populations (e.g. homeless families, foster youth, immigrants, disabled individuals) and/or specific issues (e.g. domestic violence, crisis intervention).
